UK Afghan Embassy Staff “Beaten And Tortured” By Taliban

BBC reports indicate over 150 staff employed to protect the British embassy in Kabul remain in Afghanistan, and some have suffered beatings and torture at the hands of the Taliban.

A scheme to relocate Afghans who worked for the British government in Kabul was launched in January - four months after the Taliban took control - but will only start accepting applications next week.

Westminster has been accused of inflicting “incalculable trauma” for their failure to deal more quickly with the “challenging logistics of getting them out of Kabul”, having only evacuated about half of the 19,000 Afghans who assisted UK entities in the country so far.

Migrant planes don’t seem to be the problem.
