South African High Commissioner To Uganda Pays Courtesy Visit To Veterans Affairs Minister


KAMPALA, UNN :South Africa's High Commissioner to Uganda H.E Lulama Xingwana has paid a civility call to the Minister of State for Veteran Affairs Hon Huda Oleru.

The gathering at the Docket of Veterans Affairs which is domiciled at Postel House on Clement Hill in Kampala, zeroed in on issues of common interest between South Africa and Uganda and how to fortify the current collaboration between the two nations, most particularly on issues that influence military veterans.

During the gathering, the group shared encounters on the need to ceaselessly work on the government assistance of veterans through programs that target reskilling, resettling, restoring, overseeing handicaps, Medicare, work situation and imaginative incorporation; among others, for all veterans.

H.E Xingwana praised UPDF and its administration for reestablishing harmony and security in the nation. She emphasized South Africa's responsibility towards building harmony and steadiness in Uganda.

Hon Oleru on her part thanked the Government of South Africa for its agreeable collaboration to safeguard and security with Uganda, most particularly through preparing and guard tact.

The gathering was also atended by the Deputy High Commissioner for the Republic of South Africa in Uganda H.E Silly Sebolla, UPDF Chief of Pensions and Gratuity Brig Gen Julius Biryabarema, Commissioner Psycho Social Support and Resettlement Mr. Mike Wambi Mabonga, his representative Arthur Kamya and a designation from South Africa.
